Massive 206-place childcare centre with its own pool planned for former shopping centre site
A new childcare centre, north of Brisbane, will include a swimming pool, multiple playgrounds and an art studio.

Plans have been lodged to build a 206-place childcare centre complete with a swimming pool, multiple outdoor play areas and an art studio.
The centre, proposed for 1613 Anzac Ave Kallangur will be run by Lead Childcare Pty Ltd, used to be the home for the Tulip Town shopping centre.
Lead Childcare already have several centres in the Moreton Bay region including at Mango Hill, Dayboro and Caboolture.
If approved the centre will feature 10 activity rooms, separate sleeping rooms, three designated outdoor play areas and an outdoor playing court, an internal undercover piazza and play area, art studio, kitchen, laundry and a swimming pool.

The report, lodged with council on December 16, states the swimming pool and playing court will be for use by the child care centre only.
The centre will form part of a bigger $45 million Murrumba Village development, which is under construction.
This development is proposed to include restaurants, a barber, nail salon, laundromat, bottle shop, Australia Post parcel pick-up centre and a Princes Fresh and Save supermarket.
