A Logan man has been let go with a warning after exposing himself to customers and staff at a KFC drive-through and masturbating.

A Logan man has been caught masturbating outside a KFC drive-through window, exposing himself to customers and staff.

Woodridge resident Ngun Bik Tin The pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court to one count of committing an indecent act in a public place.

The 38-year-old was seen touching himself inappropriately on October 19, 2021 in the Logan Central KFC drive-through.

“He was seen removing his pants in the drive-through area and showed behaviour that concerned passers nearby,” police prosecutor Sergeant Donna Kay said.

Tin The was also charged for failing to appear in court on two occasions, on December 8, 2021, and January 25, 2022.

“He admitted he was an alcoholic,” Sergeant Kay said.

“When asked by police, he stated he is currently homeless and lost his court documents and could not remember his court date.”

Tin The, who did not have a lawyer, used a court interpreter when asked to explain his actions.

“He doesn’t have any explanation,” the interpreter said.

He was convicted but not further punished.

“If he doesn’t start behaving himself, he’s going to find himself in jail sooner or later,” Magistrate Ronald Kilner said.

“Take notice of this warning.”
