A drug trafficking mum of two has landed in court again after threatening to shoot her old roommate in Yarrabilba.

Tanika Maree Clarke, 33, pleaded guilty in district court at Beenleigh on Monday to threatening violence at night, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing property suspected of having been acquired for a drug offence.

The court heard Clarke was asked to move out of a home in Yarrabilba after failing to pay her rent on June 23 last year.

Three days later, she returned to the address with co-offender Brett Bennett to collect her things at 1.30am.

The court heard Bennett directed her other roommates to their bedrooms and threatened them with a hammer.

Clarke told them they were lucky they didn’t take their cars because that was the plan before she picked up one of the complainants, Chantel Andrews’ car keys, from a bed.

The court heard to frighten Ms Andrews, Clarke asked her co-offender where the gun was, and he said it was in the car.

Clarke said to her: “Should f***ing shoot you. You made me uplift my life.”

Ms Andrews apologised to Clarke and said she just couldn’t cover rent anymore, which is why she asked her to leave.

The court heard Clarke was convicted for drug trafficking in Brisbane Supreme Court in August 2019 after being found with 1.98 grams of meth, 22 capsules of MDMA, $4000 cash and a tick sheet in a rental car.

The court heard she was sentenced on the basis that she was trafficking a number of drugs over a period of about six and a half months.

The court heard there were 30 of her customers identified, but Clarke seemingly bragged about having over 200 customers and had employees working for her.

At the time of sentencing, Justice Soraya Ryan described it as a relatively ordered and not an unsophisticated operation.

The court heard her motivation was identified to be able to care for her children and pay bills.

For the fresh offences, Judge Craig Chowdhury sentenced her to 12 months imprisonment with an immediate parole eligibility date.
