An alleged top Finks bikie is accused of threatening to kill his ex-employee after he declined $10k to bury a body at his home, a court has heard.

Beenleigh man Angelo David Lambropoulos, 26, applied for bail in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday, charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, deprivation of liberty and extortion.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Rochelle Paz Landim told the court the alleged victim in the matter was 25-year-old Jarrod Alcock, a childhood friend of Mr Lambropoulos.

She said Mr Alcock reconnected with Mr Lambropoulos last year to ask for employment when he opened a fast food business called Silly Willy’s in Logan Central and got a job as a manager.

“In November last year, the defendant contacted the victim by telephone. During the conversation, the defendant offered the victim $10,000 to bury a body at the victim’s address. He declined,” Sgt Paz Landim said.

The court heard Mr Alcock was standing outside an address on Maranoa Dr, Logan Village, with a woman when he noticed a Hyundai Hatchback doing laps around 7pm on April 27.

Police allege he approached the vehicle and observed Mr Lambropoulos in the back seat, who dragged him into the car and began punching him around the head.

The court heard an unknown female was allegedly driving the car, and an unknown male in the passenger seat was pointing a sawn-off shotgun at Mr Alcock’s head.

“The defendant stated words to the effect: You owe me $20K, or I’m going to spray bullets through your house and kill you,” Sgt Paz Landim said.

“The victim asked what for, and the defendant stated: You screwed me over with the club and opened your mouth about old mate.”

Mr Alcock was then allegedly told to get out of the car while it was still moving at about 30km/h.

Mr Lambropoulos’ lawyer told the court he strongly contested all charges and claims he has had no contact with Mr Alcock since he fired him from his position at Silly Willy’s after stealing about $1500 last October.

“My client instructs that last Wednesday, the offence date, he was working,” she said.

“He instructs me that he was working, he’s a truck driver … he would have finished work around 5pm and took the work truck back to the depot in Yatala. He then drove home to Beenleigh, where he lives alone.”

Sgt Paz Landim said Mr Lambropoulos is allegedly a “confirmed member” of the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang’s Gold Coast chapter and holds the position of Sergeant of Arms for the club and is the primary role of this position as an “enforcer”.

Mr Lambropoulos’ lawyer said her client also contests those allegations.

Magistrate Clare Kelly denied the application for bail due to an unacceptable risk of committing further offences.

He was remanded in custody, and his matters were adjourned to June 22.
