A 29-year-old mother from Logan has fronted court after her home was searched by police and she was busted dealing meth over Facebook Messenger.
Shahne Hinemanuhiri Mckinnon, 29, of Kingston, pleaded guilty in district court in Beenleigh on Wednesday to six counts of supplying dangerous drugs, one count of unlawful possession of controlled drugs and one count of possessing utensils or pipes that had been used.
The court heard police searched her home where they located and seized her mobile phone at about 8.30am on December 7, 2020.
An examination of the phone revealed communication between Mckinnon and six different people between December 5-7 2020.
She communicated with her clients through text messages and Facebook Messenger.
In the communications she offered to supply half a gram of meth for $250, 0.3 grams of meth for $150 and completed three supplies of meth for varying amounts between 0.1 grams for $80 and 1 gram for $500.
She also offered to sell someone an unknown dangerous drugs for $50 and an unknown amount of cannabis to someone else.
Police also seized two pipes and a single tablet of Viagra during the search.
Mckinnon’s lawyer told the court her clients drug use and offers to supply drugs had been underpinned by an abusive relationship.
“She accepts very readily that drugs have been a personal issue for her in trying to come with this relationship,” she said.
Judge Craig Chowdhury said Mckinnon had a modest criminal history but had been on bail at the time of these offences.
She was sentenced 15 months imprisonment with an immediate parole release.
