Rider’s chilling Snapchat post before fatal ride

A haunting social media post made just hours before a well-loved Logan motorcycle rider died has left friends shaken.

The faces of Queensland's shocking road toll

ONE of the last Snapchat posts from prolific social media user Zac Jones — who had a following of more than 6000 Facebook users — was a photo of his black Yamaha motorcycle with the caption “good day for a ride”.

Hours later — about 1pm Sunday — the 25-year-old was involved in a tragic traffic crash at the intersection of Kingston and Wembley roads, Slacks Creek.

It is understood 11 people from several different vehicles were involved in the crash, and multiple witnesses on what was a busy road that day.

“I was there today, one of the most horrible things I’ve ever had to experience in my life, I didn’t know what to do,” said witness Shaneika Bond.

“I didn’t know you but you used to work at the servo near my house and every time I seen you, you were so happy and looked like you really enjoyed life.

“My condolences go to his family and friends.

“Very sad I still can’t get over it. RIP Zac.”

More than 250 tributes have been left on his Facebook page, as friends flock to the site of the crash to leave flowers and bottles of Mr Jones’ favourite iced coffee which he was well-known for enjoying.

Mourners stretched beyond Mr Jones’s loved ones, with customers of the local service station where he worked also sharing fond memories.

“What a good guy you were,” said Rhys Keegan.

“I remember a couple of years back when I started gymming I came into the servo to get some food and Zac asked me if I had been working out, he told me I was looking leaner and to keep it up. He also always treated my little brother so well when he’d come into the servo on his break.

“Genuinely a really nice guy.”
