The faces of Queensland's shocking road toll

A MOTORCYCLIST died at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash that involved at least 11 people and closed a road for several hours south of Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to the Slacks Creek crash, which reportedly involved three cars and a motorcycle, at 1.07pm.

Critical care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit attended the scene.

The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another patient was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition with spinal precautions. Nine others were assessed at the scene, of which eight needed treatment at the scene.

Police closed Kingston Rd in both directions at Slacks Creek for several hours, with diversions set up between Wembley and Paradise roads. It reopened just before 5pm.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and police are appealing for anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time of the crash or who has dash cam vision to come forward.
