Arundel man Orrey Robert Wilson, 33, appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday charged with one count of conducting business or undertaking that includes electrical work without holding a licence and five counts of failing to comply with category two electrical safety duty (expose an individual to a risk of death or serious injury or illness).

It will be alleged Mr Wilson, not being a holder of an electrical contractor licence, conducted a business or undertaking which included the performance of electrical work from December 13, 2019, to May 28, 2020.

He was allegedly conducting a business or undertaking including the sale and/or installation of airconditioning units and, on five occasions, performed work that was not electronically safe.

This allegedly involves him installing aircon units in Bethania, Acacia Ridge, Crestmead, Slacks Creek and in Inala.

Mr Wilson briefly appeared in court on Friday and had his matters adjourned to July 8.
