Logan man charged, arrested after alleged carjacking, crash at Gabba
A 26-year-old Logan man has been charged after an alleged armed robbery and multiple traffic incidents involving a stolen car in Woolloongabba on Wednesday morning.

A 26-year-old Logan man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged armed robbery and a series of traffic incidents involving a stolen car which created massive traffic snarls around Woolloongabba this morning.
Initial investigations reveal that just after 8am, a white Hyundai i30 was parked outside a shopping complex on Tottenham St when the Logan man, allegedly armed with a knife, approached the driver, a 43-year-old woman from Morningside.
The man allegedly demanded the vehicle, and the woman complied without sustaining any physical injuries.
The man allegedly fled the scene in the stolen Hyundai, which subsequently collided with a Kia Sportage on O’Keefe St in Woolloongabba.
The Kia’s driver, a 39-year-old man from Capalaba, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial police investigations indicated that the Logan man was allegedly linked to a hit-and-run on Main Ave at Stones Corner, where the stolen Hyundai struck a Mazda CX-30 and a BMW iX3.
The Mazda driver, a 26-year-old woman from Woolloongabba, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the BMW driver, a 53-year-old woman from Camp Hill, was not physically injured.
The stolen Hyundai was later abandoned near Easts Rugby League Club on Main Ave in Coorparoo.
The Logan man was apprehended on Sixth Ave shortly after and taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
He has been charged with armed robbery with personal violence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle whilst armed with offensive instrument, two counts of dangerous operation of motor vehicle with prior conviction, and disqualified driving.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 13.
Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage.
