Jacob Daniel Daley, 29, appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle with two priors convictions and failing to give a statutory declaration.

Police will allege they obtained dashcam of Daley performing a ‘gender reveal burnout’ in a red Holden Commodore VP at Burrinjuck Street and then Timberlee Drive in Marsden on September 11.

It is alleged the vision shows the car creating excessive noise and blue smoke which obstructed the visibility of other motorists.

Daley appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court for the first mention of his matters on Wednesday and had them adjourned until December 15.

The gender reveal has become a common act where parents discover the sex of their expected child via an arranged release of colour, often in front of family and friends, and often in a creative or personalised way.
