Get your skating shoes ready, Logan. Well known indoor rink Digi Roller Skating in Hillcrest is on the move and has lodged plans for an exciting makeover.

While it’s not going far — from 40-45 Johnson Rd to 34-38 Johnson Rd — the new facility will be bigger and better.

There will be a 60m by 30m skating rink, dining area, arcade and 10 party rooms, plus 164 carparking spaces to be accessed from Johnson Rd.

The 2460 sqm project, designed by RC Plus Design, would open 8am to 10pm, seven days a week.

Town Planning Alliance said in the development application (DA) that the new site was zoned mixed use, which allowed for everything from business uses to retail, service industry, tourist accommodation or low-impact industrial uses.

“The proposed development results in a high quality planning outcome that provides additional employment opportunities for Logan’s residents,’’ it said.
