Five men charged with attempted murder over alleged Underwood, Logan gang shooting in July

“Sort him out”: The names of five men accused of a gang shooting on a Logan street have been revealed, along with chilling detail of what allegedly happened.

Chilling new details of an alleged gun fight on the streets of a Logan suburb have been revealed, along with the group of five men accused over the chaos.

Queensland Police allege that on the afternoon of July 13 at Underwood — a suburb of Logan — shots were fired from a Toyota HiLux on Nevilles St towards a man in a carpark.

Police allege the pedestrian then pulled out a firearm and returned fire before the HiLux, along with a Mitsubishi Outlander, left the scene.

A Queensland Police spokesperson said they believe alleged gang members in the car went to “sort him out”.

It can now be revealed the alleged gang shooting — which lead to all five men being charged with attempted murder — may have been connected to rival middle eastern crime syndicates.

According to police, members of one gang allegedly tried to confront a rival gang member before shots were fired, with a local business caught in the crossfire.

A roller door at the nearby business was allegedly damaged in the shooting.

For the first time, the names of all five men accused over the incident have been revealed.

According to court documents,Riad Naaman, 23, from Drewvale was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with a gunshot wound to his ankle and police allege he was the driver of the HiLux.

Humza Ali Ahmed, 35, from Crestmead was charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, discharging a weapon in a public place and wilful damage.

According to court documents, Mr Ahmed allegedly attempted to murder one Khaliel Naaman.

He appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday, July 31 and remains remanded in custody.

Mr Ahmed’s matters will next be mentioned on September 20.

Twenty-year-old Kuraby man Hamzah Sayed was also charged with one count each of attempted murder, discharge weapon public place, wilful damage and two counts of unlawful possession of weapons.

Riad Naaman and Ghazi Wesam Naaman, 25, both also from Drewvale, were charged with the same offences.

Hameed Ayobi, 25, from Heritage Park was also charged with the same offences and all four men will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on August 22.

The Mitsubishi Outlander alleged to have been involved in the shooting was located on July 20 at Slacks Creek however the HiLux has not been found.

Queensland Police organised crime group Major A are investigating the attack.
