A victim of domestic violence yelled “I’m gonna’ end up dead” from the back of the courtroom as her former partner was released from custody.

The woman abruptly exited the Beenleigh Magistrates courtroom on Thursday after her former partner was released on parole.

“He’ll be at my funeral and it’s all your fault, I’m gonna’ end up dead,” she said to the defence and Magistrate Mark Howden.

The defendant, from Logan Village, who cannot be named, pleaded guilty to contraventions of a domestic violence order, possession of dangerous drugs, fraud and trespass.

The court heard the 49-year-old father of two had an altercation with his former partner when he asked her where she had been the night before.

She responded that it was none of his business.

The court heard the man had a history of methamphetamine addiction but had a job opportunity for a roofing company once he was released.

He was released on immediate parole by Magistrate Howden after spending time in pre-sentence custody.
