He was found in possession of the shotgun and 30 rounds of ammunition.

The court also heard that on the same day he and another man allegedly used the weapon to shoot at a car full of four people he suspected were hiding his partner from him.

Witnesses said they saw the man responsible for the shooting wearing a black balaclava and the car was struck by bullets.

Text messaged allegedly sent by Maric were read out to the court which incriminated him in the attack.

“I shot these shit talking C***’s car up yesterday morning, we are now going for blood,” allegedly said Maric.

The victim told Police her ear was severely damaged from the gunshots and thought she would lose permanent hearing in her right ear.

Her left ear also required surgery.

Prior to the shooting, on November 29 Maric allegedly hit his partner in the face brutally and was charged with grievous bodily harm for this incident.

Maric was denied bail and will appear again in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on February 22 for a mention.
