The court heard the Crestmead resident was caught driving dangerously in Calamvale on January 7.

“You were told to stop by a police officer, and failed to stop the motor vehicle,” Crown prosecutor Tim Wise said.

“You were going from suburb to suburb, overtaking vehicles, there were vehicles avoiding collision, red lights being run.”

Foxley was also charged with an additional 14 charges between December 13, 2021 and January 7, 2022, including impersonation and fraud.

“You used a drivers licence from someone who’s had it stolen from his vehicle and posed as that person,” Magistrate Clare Kelly said.

The court heard Foxley also used the stolen identity to set up a vehicle using subscription.

The Crestmead resident was on parole at the time and was also driving on a disqualified licence.

The defence provided a written submission before the magistrate.

“(The defence) has written that you express remorse and that you are wanting to be available to your family, to assist,” Magistrate Kelly said.

Foxley was convicted and received a sentence of 15 months imprisonment for dangerous driving, 12 months imprisonment for evasion, three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and four counts of fraud, six months imprisonment for impersonation and three months imprisonment for receiving tainted property.
