Two men have landed in court for their roles in a horrifying home invasion in Logan where a woman was raped and terrorised with a gel blaster gun.

A Fraser Coast man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty in district court at Beenleigh on Monday to multiple domestic violence offences, including two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm in company and one count each of rape and strangulation.

His co-accused, a man aged in his 50s, also pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm in company and entering dwelling by break at night while in company.

The court heard the Fraser Coast man’s girlfriend had ended their relationship and asked him to move out of the unit they shared about midday on November 23, 2019.

He accused her of having an affair before a male friend of the woman arrived, and things became heated.

The court heard the Fraser Coast man got pushed over and he took some of his belongings and left.

He returned with his co-offender and four other unknown men at around 9pm the same day.

The court heard the Fraser Coast man and the other men broke into his girlfriend’s home and found her and her male friend in the kitchen.

The court heard one of the unidentified men was armed with a gel blaster gun and repeatedly told the two victims to shut up and not move.

The court heard the male victim was punched, kicked and kneed in the head by some of the group.

The unidentified man with the gel blaster gun then grabbed the woman by the back of her head and pushed her down on a couch before threatening to “put a bullet in her head” if she didn’t shut up and stop crying.

The Fraser Coast man grabbed the woman by her arm and told her to go upstairs to the bedroom before she fell down on the stairs.

The court heard the man then lifted up her dress, pulled her underwear to the side and inserted his fingers inside her vagina as she pleaded for him to stop.

She screamed and the Fraser Coast man removed his fingers and punched her on the right side of the head.

The court heard the Fraser Coast man pointed a gel blaster gun at her face, pressed it against her lips and nose and attempted to push it inside her mouth.

He threatened to kill her and punched her in the face twice before grabbing her neck with both hands and squeezing.

The court heard his co-accused yelled at the Fraser Coast man to stop and grabbed his arm to lead him downstairs.

The co-accused crouched in front of the female victim and told her it was okay and that she would be going with them.

The female victim repeatedly told him she didn’t want to go anywhere.

The court heard the male victim managed to make an escape, and the group of male offenders left the unit.

The female victim got up from the stairs and walked to a nearby service station, where she asked staff to contact the police.

The Fraser Coast man’s lawyer said his client had spent 28 months in pre-sentence custody.

Judge Deborah Holliday sentenced him to four and half years imprisonment suspended for five years.

The court heard the co-offender didn’t hold the gel blaster gun at any stage or assault the male victim, but he was physically present for the assault and did not remove himself.

Judge Holliday sentenced the co-offender to two and a half years imprisonment, suspended for a period of three years after he served 95 days.

She declared the 95 days he spent in pre-sentence custody as time already served under the sentence.
