A 26-year-old Loganholme woman facing drug-related charges told police she had recently won $117,000 at the casino after they also found her carrying a lot of cash, a court has heard.

Brigette Ivy Anthony, 26, appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday facing four drug-related charges.

She was charged with unlawfully possessing amphetamines, cocaine and cannabis in Loganholme on February 5, 2021.

The court heard Anthony was charged after police searched a residence in Loganholme.

Police prosecutor Zoe Melksham told the court an amount of cash was also found at the house during the police search.

“The defendant indicated that she had a substantial win at the casino of $117,000 prior to the search warrant being executed,” she said.

She told the court police were still investigating in relation to that.

Ms Melksham said police also located a number of cups found in the house that had various crystal residue inside them and a number of clipseal bags.

The matters were committed for trial in the district court at Beenleigh at a later date.
