The court heard Wiley-Brown was busted with 1g of cocaine about 11.30pm on October 7 in the carpark of Waterford Plaza.
He was seated in the rear of a Hyundai with two other people in the front, which piqued police suspicion as all shops were closed in the centre due to the time of night.
When the officers turned their line of questioning to the possibility of drugs being located in the car, Wiley-Brown’s “behaviour changed”, the court heard.
Officers saw Wiley-Brown “attempt to conceal items” and when they performed a search, they discovered 1g of white powder, cocaine, inside his wallet.
The court heard the cocaine possession occurred only a month after Wiley-Brown was placed on a good-behaviour bond in the District Court for possessing “a large amount” of cannabis.
Magistrate Clare Kelly told him it was “likely” he would have to return to the District Court to be resentenced, forfeiting his cash recognisance.
Defence lawyer Lex Weddell told the court his client was currently on Centrelink payments and was co-operative with police.
Ms Kelly warned Wiley-Brown to stay away from dangerous drugs.
He was fined $350 and had a conviction recorded.
