SOLD: $920,000 – 19 Ervatamia Street, Runcorn – 4 Bed / 2 Bath / 2 Car on 736sq m

Interest in this property is coming from the local area as well as buyers who are now priced out of the inner-city market as Runcorn offers value for money compared to neighbouring suburbs. Sunnybank Hills, Eight Mile Plains and Stretton have median house prices around $300,000 more than what you’ll find in Runcorn, where house values have increased by 4.7 per cent since the beginning of the year.

“Runcorn is playing a catch up game this year,” selling agent Mitch Schenning says.

This home has been ‘loved and cared for’ by the one owner for many years and with a little more love it will polish up a treat.

“They don’t build them like this any more. It’s a huge block and big home.” Agent: Mitch Schenning, Master Agents – Brisbane City; Auctioneer: David Holmes

“The interest in this house is coming from people upsizing mostly and living nearby,” Place Sunnybank selling agent Owen Chen says. “The house does need some updating but the view is very nice, it’s the main selling point, you have lovely mountain views.” Agent: Owen Chen, Place Sunnybank; Auctioneer: Mark Frater

SOLD: $1.650m – 48 Kennington Rd, Camp Hill – 4 Bed / 2 Bath / 2 Car on 650sq m

A Canberra couple who moved to Brisbane during Covid have fully renovated this 1960s Camp Hill home over 18 months.

“It kept them amused during Covid but now they’d like to travel so they’ve bought a townhouse in Coorparoo,” Place Bulimba selling agent Shane Hicks says.

“It’s had a massive transformation from top to bottom with ducted airconditioning, it’s beautifully painted, it now has an ensuite where there wasn’t one before, the family bathroom has bee updated, even the pool has been emptied and refurbished.”

Saturday’s auction will see local bidders along with interstate families who have moved to Brisbane and want to settle in Camp Hill. Agent: Shane Hicks, Place Bulimba; Auctioneer: Paul Curtain

To Brisbane’s north, where this 2012-built home is coming to market for the first time.

“It’s a really blue chip street and the unique thing with this property is it is low maintenance. The building report showed no issues at all, it is just beautifully built with beautiful finishes and massive bedrooms,” Harcourts selling agent Josh Smith says.

Interest in the property has come from local families with teenagers as there is plenty of breakout space and a pool in the backyard.

The sellers have purchased a property on the Gold Coast and will be looking for something smaller to purchase in Brisbane once their Wavell Heights home sells. Agent: Josh Smith Harcourts Solutions Group — Windsor; Auctioneer: Christian Hamilton

Ninety per cent of interest in this luxury resort-style home on 4009sq m is coming from within 10km of the property, Place Sunnybank selling agent Owen Chen says, with buyers recognising the scarcity of an acreage block that is 13km from the CBD. “Every eight years there would be an opportunity like this on that street,” he says. “This property also has subdivision potential so you can live here and land bank as well.”

The sellers are caravan people who want to travel around Australia before settling down again.

The top level apartment in a boutique Balmoral development, this property started out as a home and is now an investment for the sellers and would suit a young couple, investors or anyone looking for a weekender close to the city.

“It’s at the back of the block so it’s nice and quiet and the top floor has amazing breezes,” Place Bulimba’s Shannon Harvey says. “The other benefit is they built the stairs outside so this means there’s no internal area taken up with stairs in the apartment so it’s really spacious.” The property comes with a carport that can fit two cars in the spot and is walking distance to the cafe precincts of Bulimba and Hawthorne. This auction will be held in-rooms at Place Bulimba, 140 Oxford St, Bulimba. Agent: Shannon Harvey, Place Bulimba; Auctioneer: Paul Curtain
