Update: This Hamilton home sold just after today’s auction for $5.025m in an unconditional sale

Local and Sydney buyers have inspected this newly renovated and extended home in the blue chip suburb of Hamilton ahead of auction day.

“It’s the location and the build quality that is attracting buyers,” selling agent Dwight Ferguson says. “It’s basically brand new. The owners did the renovations for themselves but then they decided not to move from their home in Windsor.”

This property has been an investment for the current owners and is tenanted until November this year. The house is on a massive 943sq m block, not bad for being less than half an hour from the CBD. One unconditional offer has already been received and there is conditional interest in the property, so look for those in Saturday’s auction crowd who are hoping this one passes in so they can put in their own offer. Oxley’s median house price is $913,936 after growing by 30.21 per cent in 12 months. Agents: Corey Shipp and Sarah Bailey, Harcourts Marketplace, Oxley; Auctioneer: Christian Hamilton

The most popular home going under the hammer in the Harcourts auction event is this 1980s-built three-bedroom brick house in a quiet pocket of Durack. It has also been used as an investment but is currently vacant, giving first-home buyers lots to talk about. Durack’s median house price is currently around $653,748 after climbing 27.29 per cent in a year. Agents: Corey Shipp and Sarah Bailey, Harcourts Marketplace Oxley; Auctioneer: Christian Hamilton
