A three-bedroom, one-bathroom home at 314 Henson Rd, Salisbury sold under the hammer for $940,000, $50,000 above the reserve.
Nine bidders registered for the auction with seven active throughout.
Property agent George Yang from Ray White Sunnybank Hills said it was a highly competitive, rapid fire auction.
"It started at $700,000 and within three or four bids it went up to $850,000 then the eventual sale price which is a suburb record for that type of house," Mr Yang said.

“We had two interstate bidders on the phone, with interest coming mainly from families and couples along with a couple of investors.
“The buyers were a young family and this is their first home.
“It’s move-in ready, in a neat and tidy condition and in a great area.
"Salisbury is very much a young family area at the moment because it’s more affordable than suburbs like Tarragindi and those within the inner ring suburbs.”

Five bidders registered for the auction with two active throughout.
Principal & Auctioneer at Ray White Wilston Alistair Macmillan said the sellers were investors from Melbourne planning to relocate but decided not to.

The previous owners from Melbourne purchased the home with the intention of relocating to Brisane.

“All the buyers we had looking at the house during the campaign were owner occupiers," Mr Macmillan said.

A four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 27 Colbert Street, Everton Park has sold under the hammer for $1.46m with an opening bid of $900,000.
12 bidders registered to take part in the auction.
Property agent Elliott Brown from Belle Property Everton Park said everyone was happy with the result today.
"We had two groups that were local families looking to upsize and there was also a few families that had much deeper pockets, particularly in that section of Everton Park, Trouts Estate, is well sought after.
"We had interstate buyers on the phone also.
"Originally, an Italian family designed the home and they may not be the prettiest looking houses by modern standards but they’re well built.
Mr Brown said he felt like Everton Park has evolved and become an area that people don't want to leave.

"I feel like the final straw was when they completed the rejuvenated plaza," he said.
"The flowers have bloomed and people aren’t afraid to spend up big."
Auctioneer David Holmes from Homes Auctions said he was blown away by the result today.
"It was a fast and furious auction, it took only 12 minutes and sold well over reserve," Mr Holmes said.
"While stock is in reasonably short supply, I think buyers are hungry, in light of the interest rates being on hold, it's more of a reason to be capitalising now."

“The market at the moment for sellers is really good at the moment and we're seeing strong results."

"To be honest I was a little bit nervous going into the auction today as we had no bidders registered.

“The market is quite positive, there is still plenty of buyers, stock levels are on the lower side of things.

"It's a beautiful home and we've had lots of interest in it," Ms Gianniotis said.

"We're seeing a majority of the buyers live locally to Brisbane and are wanting to upgrade.
"The market is very strong, we’re still seeing a very tight market, that is what is keeping good results, I expect we'll see that continue."
