Wallabies star Quade Cooper, who had a stunning Rugby Championship stint in 2021, is turning his attention to another renovation – his new retro home on the coast.
Fresh off the $2.39 million sale of his luxury home at Brisbane’s Bulimba, Cooper is setting down roots at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast, having bought a three-bedroom, four-bathroom, two-car-space, updated retro home for $2.7 million last week.
He paid about $300,000 less than the asking price for the 938sq m waterfront property, which is a far cry from the luxurious digs he sold in Brisbane, but it has views of the Palm Beach canal and easy access to Tallebudgera Creek.
The Auckland-born star turned his career around in recent months, with a smashing run for the Wallabies during the 2021 Rugby Championship, and has even gone so far as to pass a citizenship test in December to officially become an Australian.
