Where do you go while your dream home is being completed? For tennis champion Lleyton Hewitt and his TV star wife Bec it’s just down the road in a stunning beach bungalow rental.
Fresh pictures inside the dreamy Gold Coast beach pad the star couple chose have emerged with the rental property now up for sale in one of Queensland’s most popular suburbs, Burleigh.
The Hewitts rented Burleigh Beach Bungalow at 33 Deodar Drive, Burleigh Waters, while waiting for the keys to their new Gold Coast beach home, The Palms, which is just up the road.

Homeowners cash in on giant highway upgrade
Burleigh Beach Bungalow owners Josh and Jess Dickinson said they were surprised to learn the Hewitts wanted to rent their property.
“They loved it as well which was nice,” Ms Dickinson said. “You get worried as it’s your own house.
The Dickinsons bought Burleigh Beach Bungalow in 2016 and set about transforming it into a coastal abode. It was listed on Air BnB earlier this year, where the Hewitts first came across it, with CoreLogic records showing it was listed fully furnished for $2250 a week.
Troy Fitzgerald, of Ray White Burleigh Group, is handling the sale of Burleigh Beach Bungalow and confirmed its famous renters moved out last weekend.
“When you’re a couple like the Hewitts you’ve got a choice in where you stay and for them to choose the Burleigh Beach Bungalow is a testament to the work Josh and Jess have done,” Mr Fitzgerald said. “It really justifies the quality and how nice the house is.”
Burleigh Beach Bungalow, which goes to auction next month, has a laid-back and fresh coastal design with high ceilings, a shower skylight, mud room, kitchen servery window and poolside entertaining area.
Several big-name business including Lorna Jane, Michael Hill Jeweller, esme Skin Minerals and Glassons have hired the house for photo shoots.
The Hewitts reportedly splashed $4.305m on The Palms, when it hit the market for the second time this year, paying $550,000 more than the previous buyer only months earlier.
The house has attracted international attention since the build of the Burleigh coastal home was documented on Instagram.
The Hewitts purchased the house in October with the property reported to have settled last weekend.
