As the obsession with “fur babies” grows, pet-loving homebuyers are willing to pay top dollar for properties that pamper their pooches.

That was a lesson learned by Csaba Jancsovics and wife Andrea Kurti, a developer couple who create luxury homes across Brisbane.

Mr Jancsovics said they had to keep every member of the family in mind while building their luxurious new home in Camp Hill, including how the space would be used and the lifestyle of families who live there – right down to their pets.

“We thought about the Camp Hill area, and their lifestyle,” he said. “The goal was to meet every member of the family’s expectations, including the dog.

“It is a high-end home that was built to sell so we weren’t thinking about our own needs but how the future owner would use the space.”

The brand-new residence was built by the couple’s business Onyx Prestige Homes, and features five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a three-car garage.

The home has a key feature many entertaining families desire – stunning views of the city skyline and Story Bridge, with mountains in the background.

Among the features Mr Jancsovics put in for outdoor entertainment was a stylish alfresco terrace, swimming pool, outdoor shower and circular fire pit.

But it was his pet designs that stood out when his home went viral on TikTok – a fully fenced yard, an inviting doghouse and a luxury dog bath station with gold fittings.

Mr Jancsovics said these pet-friendly features were positioned carefully and designed to fit organically as part of the home.

“Both the dog bath and doghouse work well and blend into the style of the home,” he said. “The dog bath is located in the laundry and the doghouse is positioned under the stairs.”

Real estate agent Denis Najzar of Place Woolloongabba, who listed the property at the end of December with colleague Matt Langfield, said it had generated a lot of interest.

The past four open houses each had a minimum of 20 groups.

Mr Najzar said such pet-friendly homes were rare, having sold just three with a dog bath over the course of his 14-year career.

He was certain the number of pet-friendly homes would only grow.

“I have noticed pet owners who are building are making sure to include pet-friendly features and I think this will continue to increase,” he said. “Life is changing and pets are an important part of our families.”

Only one other property in Queensland is on realestate .com.au with a dog bath and doghouse – in New Farm.

Mr Najzar said there had been an outpouring of support for the practicality of the pet-friendly features, with many wanting to incorporate them in their future homes.

In addition to appealing to pet-loving home buyers during its open home sessions, the Camp Hill property and its luxe fur-baby features have attracted strong attention on TikTok – accumulating more than 20,000 views in its first few days.

Place auctioneer Tara Kelly, who uploaded the viral video, found the home’s fur-baby details resonated with her – and fellow TikTokers.

“It is genius,” she said. “The developers have thought about what is different and unique.

“I knew it would do well on TikTok because it is rare for a home to be built for animals.

“You don’t normally see these features in a house but nowadays we treat our dogs and pets like family so it has everything you need for your pets.”

Mr Najzar has the home for sale by negotiation.
