Sydney family bidding over phone buys Gap home for $1.5m

More than 100 properties will go under the hammer across Greater Brisbane today but there have already been extraordinary auction results through the week, like the Bulimba family who were shocked to pocket $1m more than they were expecting when their “recently refreshed” five-bedroom home at 30 Bulimba St, Bulimba sold to Sydney buyers sight unseen for $3.9m.

And the $9.4m worth of property sold during Ray White’s Auction Under the Stars event at the Calile Hotel in Fortitude Valley, including the $3.7m sale of jeweller Margot McKinney’s Hamilton home at 33a Markwell St.
