A grand Hamilton estate once home to the British Trade Commissioner and a Robertson home with its own full-sized basketball court were among the 116 properties heading to auction across Greater Brisbane on Saturday.

17 Apex St, Balmoral - Sold after auction for $1.975m

We have an update on the auction of 17 Apex St, Balmoral which featured on our livestreaming channel today. When we left the property, it had passed in at $1.9m. Place Estate Agents auctioneer Paul Curtain has now confirmed the four-bedroom house on 968sq m has now sold under auction conditions for $1.975m. 58 Stafford St, East Brisbane - sold for $2.612m

The original home burnt down in the 1800s and Hester Villa was rebuilt in 1901. Twelve bidders took this heritage-listed three-bedroom residence to auction today. Bidding started at $1.9m and from here, six buyers raised their paddles to bid. The property was announced on the market at $2.5m and sold for $2.612m to a local buyer from Coorparoo. 82 Kitchener Rd, Ascot - Sold for $3.25m

Three bidders came and all took part in the auction of this restored and extended Queenslander 1077sq m in Ascot. The marathon auction started off high and took some time to get to the final result. Ray White Ascot selling agent Oliver Jonker showed 47 groups through the seven-bedroom house with two self-contained studios, and the eventual buyers are a young family moving in to Ascot to be closer to quality schools. This three-bedroom house on 658sq m is 15km from the CBD and has sold today for $686,000, more than $100,000 above the median sale price in the southern Brisbane suburb. This continues to be a highly competitive price bracket in Brisbane with 12 bidders registering to participate in the auction. West End home makes $900,000 in two years

Orleigh Park is one of West End's most precious assets and today 16 registered bidders lined up to buy this pre-war cottage at 75 Orleigh St, West End which is directly across from the park and the Brisbane River on a 463sq m corner block. 282 Boston Rd, Belmont - Sold for $1.7m

Look at the property on the left to see the potential for this one hectare site that currently has two 1970s original condition residences on it. The estate was previously listed for sale in August this year for $1.6m, so today's sale has netted an extra $100,000 for the sellers. Nine registered bidders lined up for this auction. None of the four expected bidders turned up for the auction of this vacant block of land which is a battle axe property following a lot realignment. There is conditional interest from Brisbane buyers wanting to move closer to the city and Coronis lead agent Brad Sissons is working with them over the weekend.

137 Eildon Rd, Windsor - Sold for $1.37m

A family already living in Windsor has just bought this three-bedroom home on Eildon Rd for almost double its last sale price six years ago. The 604sq m property attracted five registered bidders, all of whom lived in Brisbane and the auction started with a vendor bid of $1m. It last sold in 2015 for $725,000. Unit 5/37 Indooroopilly Rd, Taringa - Sold for $781,000

Twenty-six buyers wanted to move in to this two-bedroom apartment opposite Perrin Park that last sold in 2019 for $585,000 but a strategic opening bid of $642,500 knocked out the majority and the property sold for $781,000.
