Three generations of one family are moving into the home in Robertson they won at auction - while the old owners are moving to the area where the family used to live.
While only four registered bidders signed up to compete over the five-bedroom home at 153 Didbrook St, just three of them turned a $1.8 million starting bid to a final offer nearly $400,000 over the reserve price.
More than fifty people were present for the auction, each of them eager to see who would secure the two-storey home.

The bidding war began with two potential buyers going head-to-head over who would snag the home, with the third bidder jumping in past the $2 million reserve mark.
Offers increased by $10,000 at a time, with the auction finally ending after 42 bids. The winning bidders secured the property for a total price of $2.39 million.
Ray White AKG agent Roxanne Liu said the home had a lot of appeal for potential buyers, from its photogenic hardwood cathedral ceiling to its master bedroom on the ground floor.
"It's really hard to find a one-level home," Ms Liu said, adding the accessibility of the master bedroom at this home added to its appeal.
Ms Liu said the new buyers are "a really nice family", moving from the city with their children and their mother.
"There'll be three generations living together," she said, allowing the owners to take care of their mother and have assistance in raising their kids.
Meanwhile, the old owners are making the opposite move. A professional young couple, the two are seeking to move in to the city from Robertson, swapping living situations with the people who have bought their home for more than the vendors anticipated.
"The old owners are over the moon," Ms Liu said. "They were really, really happy."
