1. NAIDOC Week
Honour our nation’s Indigenous heritage at one of the many NAIDOC Week events kicking off this weekend.
Celebrate culture and while you enjoy the dulcet tones of motown group Sex and Chocolate at the NAIDOC Gala Dinner this Saturday night, held at St Patrick’s Cathedral from 5pm.
Purchase gala tickets from Carbal at 18-24 Charnley St.
Keep the party going on Sunday at the NAIDOC cent sale at Kulila Indigenous Kindergarten where a $5 entry will give you a chance to win big in the cent sale and lucky door draw on top of a delicious meal.
All money raised at the event will go to support Kulila Indigenous Kindergarten who endeavour to keep Indigenous culture alive within community.
Additional cent sale and lucky door tickets will be available to purchase alongside tea and coffee.

2. Snowflakes in Stanthorpe
Embrace the winter weather with a trip to the beloved Snowflakes in Stanthorpe festival.
With giant snow globes, snowfield tobogganing, ice skating, igloo making, and marshmallow roasting, there is something to satisfy everyone’s winter dreams.
Enjoy live music and entertainment or pick up a Bushie’s Breakfast complete with billy tea and damper to top off your trip.

3. Toowoomba Ballet Theatre Gala
Toowoomba Ballet Theatre will host a gala celebrating ten years of united dance excellence this Saturday night.
The gala will feature the dancers’ favourite pieces, stories and memories over the past decade and highlight the amazing talent within this local company.
Performance to commence from 7pm at the Empire Theatre, with doors opening at 6.30pm Saturday, July 5.

4. Christmas in July
Experience good country hospitality aboard the Brookstead Bullet for their Christmas in July tour.
Travel through the Darling Downs in vintage style on the Commissioner Railmotors before arriving in rural Brookstead for a delicious pub lunch complete with Christmas pudding.

5. Luke Heggie's YUCK tour
Award-winning Australian comedian Luke Heggie will head to Toowoomba this weekend with his YUCK regional tour.
His down to earth, deadpan stand-up style has seen him sell out crowds across the country, showcasing at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, ABC’s Comedy Next Generation and Just for Laughs.
Doors open from 7pm on Saturday July 5 at The Irish on Russell St.

6. Sunshine Boys
See how Toowoomba’s local artists take on a classic comedy this weekend at the Toowoomba Repertory Theatre.
The theatre’s Sunshine Boys revival will bring to life the story of Willie Clark and Al Lewis, a once highly successful vaudeville duo who explosively parted ways must come together for TV special decades later.
Tickets range from $15 to $25 and include a complimentary drink on arrival.
Doors open at 7.10pm on Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5.

7. Line Dancing Fun & Fitness
Yeehaw all day at the Toowoomba Line Dancing Fun & Fitness workshop this Sunday.
Join a group of dance enthusiasts for an afternoon of relaxed fun and learn a two step or two along the way.
Dancing runs from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday, July 6 at the Aberfeldy Barn with a short workshop presented by Shane and Keri of SKDance.

8. Sunrise Way Garage Sale
Toowoomba rehabilitation service Sunrise Way will host a garage sale to help raise much needed funds and maintain recovery services for people in need.
On offer are incredible gems such as a solid silky oak table and a genuine leather decorative horse saddle.
Also up for grabs are hardware items, power tools, mowers, a TV and household furniture.
Head to 7-11 Tourist Rd from 9am on Saturday, July 5 to join in, parking is available on site.
9. ScribbleSesh Life Drawing
Unleash your artistic side at the ScribbleSesh Life Drawing session this Sunday.
Dip your toe into the life drawing world with this costumed life drawing experience while sampling the delicious goodies on offer at Mouse Proof Brewery.
This month’s muse is Toowoomba artist Dolly Chamberlain whose photography work regularly features an extensive and wacky collection of dolls.

The session begins at 6pm on Sunday July 6 at Mouse Proof Brewery in North Toowoomba.

10. Pawsmas in July
Get your Christmas card ready with a visit to Warwick’s Pawsmas in July fundraiser this Saturday.
Stock up on top quality pet products, handmade gifts and doggie themed crafts at the markets or snap a picture of your furry friend with Santa Paws.
Pets are encouraged to attend as their owners enjoy delicious food and live entertainment.
All profits will go to support Southern Downs ARK animal rescue.
Head to the Warwick Girl Guides Hall on Wallace St from 8.30am to 2pm on Saturday, July 5.
