Toowoomba and southwest Queensland emergency services have been kept busy by a variety of incidents and crashes across the Darling Downs.

A number of crashes and incidents have been keeping police, fire and ambulance crews busy over the weekend so far.

Here’s a wrap of the key moments, which will be updated across Saturday and Sunday:

Man, woman suffer injuries in Lockyer crash

Two people needed to be hospitalised after they were victims in a two-vehicle crash in the Lockyer Valley on Saturday.

The incident was reported to authorities about 8.45pm on the intersection of Gatton Clifton and Gatton Helidon Roads in Lower Tenthill.

A woman suffered chest injuries while a man reported neck pains.

They were both taken to Toowoomba Hospital in stable conditions.

Woman taken to hospital after snake bite

A woman was rushed to hospital after a reported snake bite in the northern Toowoomba region on Saturday night.

Paramedics were called just after 9pm to the incident at a private residence in Yarraman.

The woman in her 40s reported being bitten by the snake on the foot.

She was treated at the scene and taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.

Two critical after car splits in two in Toowoomba crash

Police will probe the cause of a serious crash in an inner-city Toowoomba suburb that split a car into two pieces and left two young people in critical conditions.

The Forensic Crash Unit is currently investigating the site of the horror incident on Mackenzie Street in East Toowoomba, which was reported just after midnight on Saturday.

Wilsonton crash leaves person in hospital

A person has been rushed to hospital after a crash in a Toowoomba suburb early on Saturday morning.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on Wine Drive in Wilsonton Heights and was reported about 5.45am.

The person was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.

Man bitten on leg by snake at side of highway

A middle-aged man had to be taken to hospital on Friday after reportedly being bitten by a snake on the side of a highway west of Toowoomba.

Paramedics were called at 9.40pm to the Canarvon Highway at St George, where the man reported he had been bitten on the leg.

The man in his 60s was taken to St George Hospital in a stable condition.

Man ‘in serious condition’ after fall from ladder

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after he fell from a ladder on a private residence in the Lockyer Valley.

Paramedics rushed to the scene at Laidley, which was reported just after 9am on Saturday.

The man in his 60s was treated for head and leg injuries and taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Seven people involved in three-vehicle highway crash

Emergency services converged on the scene of a three-vehicle crash along the New England Highway north of Toowoomba on Saturday morning.

The incident was reported to ambulance and fire crews about 11.30am on the intersection of the highway and Kingaroy Cooyar Road at Cooyar.

Out of the seven people in three cars, two were assessed for minor injuries but declined a trip to hospital.
