Teenager faces Toowoomba District Court for exposing child to indecent act

A Toowoomba teenager has faced court after a 14-year-old witnessed a racy photo shoot between his 18-year-old brother and girlfriend for adult entertainment website OnlyFans.

A Toowoomba teenager has found himself before a judge after his younger brother witnessed a racy photo shoot he was doing with his 18-year-old girlfriend.

The teen, who cannot be named for legal reason, appeared in Toowoomba District Court on Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to two charges of exposing a child to an indecent act.

The court was told the 18-year-old’s girlfriend started an OnlyFans account in December 2021 to create adult-orientated content.

The teenager was photographing his girlfriend in the family home in a sexually explicit way, including images of her topless and in a bath, between December 24, 2021 and February 1, 2022.

On two separate occasions the teenager’s younger brother, a 14-year-old, was present and witnessed the photo shoot where he was exposed to the indecent acts, Crown prosecutor Shontelle Petrie said.

The court was told the mother of the two teenagers noticed a change in her 14-year-old son’s behaviour and after she found out what had happened reported the matter to the police.

Judge Paul Smith sentenced the teenager to six months probation, with no conviction recorded.
