Teen remanded in custody after dumping stolen car and fleeing on foot
A 19-year-old is in custody and nursing a sore arm after he was bitten by a police dog while attempting to evade capture.

Police are clamping down on a group of known offenders near Goondiwindi after a flare up of cross-border crime.
Since Wednesday last week, Queensland Police Service officers and their counterparts in NSW have responded to a spate of robberies and burglaries.
Overnight on October 23 offender stole and burnt out vehicle.
At about 12.20am on October 24, a group of offenders smashed a door to gain entry to a Callandoon Street where they threatened the occupant.
They stole the keys to a white Jeep and fled with the vehicle.
At 1.38am, four men wearing balaclavas exited the white Jeep and approached a man who had just refuelled his truck at a service station
“One jumped up on the front and one tried to smash the window before the truck driver drove off and the suspects decamped,” Goondiwindi Senior Sergeant Richard Macintosh said.
About 45 minutes later the offenders tried to enter a house on Pfingst Street before forcing entry to a cabin at a nearby caravan park.
Inside an altercation occurred between one suspect and the victim before the suspects left in the white jeep.
Several offences were also committed across the border in Toomelah including a home invasion at a rural property.
Sen Sgt Macintosh said the offender stole a vehicle from the address and were tracked into Queensland.
“Police deployed tyre deflation devices and as a result the two vehicles were recovered and one offender a 19-year-old Toomelah man was arrested,” he said.
“The man fled on foot by was tracked by a police dog, that bit him on the arm.”
The man was crashed with a raft of property offences and had his matters briefly mentioned in the Warwick Magistrates Court on Friday.
He has been remanded in custody until November 6.
