Two occupants of a Toowoomba home had a lucky escape after a vehicle crashed into it, with the driver and passengers fleeing the scene before police arrived.

Two occupants of a Toowoomba home had a lucky escape after a vehicle crashed into it, causing structural damage.
However the vehicle’s driver and passengers didn’t stick around the inspect the carnage they caused, reportedly fleeing the scene before police arrived.
Emergency services were called to the Darling Heights home about 4.15pm Tuesday to find a car had crashed into the home.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the occupants of the vehicle had left the scene before police arrived, and that inquiries into their whereabouts were ongoing.
Two fire crews also attended the incident, with a Queensland Fire Department spokesman reporting that the crash caused a “partial structural collapse” around a window of the home.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics assessed the two occupants of the home but did not require treatment.
Fire crews left the scene in the hands of the building’s owner about 4.51pm.
