A young mum accused of causing the death of Robert Richard Palmer had her matter mentioned for the first time in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Monday.

Tahlia Jane Mack, 26, is charged with one count of driving without due care and attention causing death arising from a fatal crash on December 3.

Police allege Ms Mack was behind the wheel of a 2010 Holden Cruze sedan when she failed to give way at the intersection of James and Humes streets and collided with Mr Palmer, who was riding a Triumph Bonneville motorcycle.

Mr Palmer, 76, of Wilsonton, suffered critical head injuries and died the following day.

Police charged Ms Mack with the offence on December 31.

Her matter was briefly mentioned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on April 17 with the case adjourned to June 6.

Ms Mack was not required to enter a plea.
