A young girl who died from injuries suffered after she climbed out of a window at her Dalby home has been remembered as happy, bright and bubbly.
Emergency services were called to Leia’s Arthur Street home in Dalby on May 9 and arrived to find her unresponsive.
While the officers were able to revive the young girl and rush her to hospital, her injuries were too severe.
Her family have made the heart-wrenching decision to turn off her life support and her organs will be donated to other children in need.
Leia’s godmother, Lisa Jenner, launched a GoFundMe campaign to help Leia’s parents at this difficult time.
“Leia was a happy, bright, dancing, bubbly little girl,” Lisa wrote on the campaign page.
“She was full of fun, forever dancing.
“She is a loved daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter and friend to many far and wide.
“Poor Leia had a tragic accident. She was playing as always and that tragedy took her life away from us all.
“Leia has helped save many others by being an organ donor, something I truly believe she would have enjoyed if she was here to celebrate with us.
