Katy Perry announces yet another South Australian show after initially deciding to skip Adelaide
The Katy Perry pandemonium shows no signs of abating as fans queued up to score tickets to her fourth Adelaide show.

Excited Katy Perry fans have lined up from as early as 7am to nab the last tickets for her fourth Adelaide show.
Sam Tantum, of Glenelg North, praised Premier Peter Malinauskas for securing Perry for Adelaide, as she’s “an icon for every generation”.
“I say hats off to Peter Malinauskas for getting her here for us to put Adelaide on the map, because it’s always good when we get recognised for being the best state,” Ms Tantum said.
Also among the crowd at the Entertainment Centre was Jill Kelly, of Wallaroo, who travelled two hours to line up and purchase her tickets in person.
“It was about a two-hour drive from Wallaroo to get two tickets for my daughter and myself,” she said.
“A computer is non-existent for me, so therefore it’s much easier to have my ticket in my hand, and I know I’ve got the ticket and the seats that I want.”
It was revealed on Thursday that the US pop star was set to now play a fourth Adelaide show.
Adelaide has been in the grips of Perry hysteria this week after the US pop star – who was initially set to skip the city – announced she would come to Adelaide after all.
She quickly announced a second and third Adelaide show earlier this week, and now a fourth show is set to cater for her adoring Adelaide fans.
Tickets to the fourth show, which will be held on Monday, June 30, went on sale at 11am on Friday.
The latest announcement comes after dedicated South Australian fans of US pop superstar Katy Perry lined up from 11am on Tuesday morning to secure tickets.
Super fan Brock Taylor-Waters was so excited to snap up tickets he lined up from 1am to be at the front of the line when tickets went on sale from 11am.
He told The Advertiser it was pure disappointment when news dropped that Perry’s initial tour dates did not include Adelaide.
However, the 17-year-old said he was “jumping for joy” when news dropped that she had decided to change her mind and come to South Australia.
Mr Taylor-Waters described himself as Adelaide’s biggest Katy Perry fan and said he did not sleep at all during his 10-hour wait at the head of the line which he said he swelled to over 70 people by 9am,
“I was just listening to Katy Perry – I was singing and dancing and it got me through,” he said.
He said the announcement of a second Adelaide show was proof of just how in-demand she was in the City of Churches.
Just days after initially leaving the city off her 2025 Australian tour, Perry revealed she would extend her stay Down Under with a concert at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday, June 26 – which has now become two dates.
“It’s a funny one, I announced the dates and Adelaide wasn’t there because of several reasons,” Perry said.
“I heard so loud and so clearly from the fans there, and the community there, they were like ‘What no way, oh my God, I can’t believe you’re not coming to Adelaide’.
“And so we had a conversation and we were like, ‘We’ve got to go to Adelaide’.
“So the people have spoken. We hear you and we deliver.”
It came after Premier Peter Malinauskas met with the singer at the AFL Grand Final in an MCG grandstand meeting room on Saturday after Perry performed at the pre-game show.
“We know South Australians appreciate high quality events and performances and we are thrilled to have played a part in convincing Katy to come to Adelaide,” Mr Malinauskas said.
Promoter and chief executive of TEG Dainty, Paul Dainty, said the upcoming tour would be “unmissable”.
The state government has not paid Perry directly to play in Adelaide, however a deal has been struck to reduce the fees associated with using the Adelaide Entertainment Centre for the concert.
