Adelaide is in the grips of Katy Perry hysteria, with a fourth South Australian show now announced after the US pop star initially was set to skip the city.
Now, due to huge demand, Perry added a second, third and fourth Adelaide show – with concerts now on Thursday June 26, Friday June 27, Sunday, June 29 and Monday, June 30 2025.
Tickets for her fourth show go on sale at 11am ACST on Friday, October 4, through Ticketek.
Earlier this week, dedicated South Australian fans of US pop superstar Katy Perry lined up from 11am to secure tickets to her latest concert date after the singer made a shock announcement on Sunday that she would be coming to Adelaide.
Perry will now play Adelaide more than anywhere in the country with the four shows more than the three in Melbourne and two in Brisbane and Sydney.
The superstar has also added a second Perth show to the schedule.
Super fan Brock Taylor-Waters was so excited to snap up tickets he lined up from 1am to be at the front of the line when tickets went on sale from 11am.
He told The Advertiser it was pure disappointment when news dropped that Perry’s initial tour dates did not include Adelaide.
However, the 17-year-old said he was “jumping for joy” when news dropped that she had decided to change her mind and come to South Australia.
Mr Taylor-Waters described himself as Adelaide’s biggest Katy Perry fan and said he did not sleep at all during his 10-hour wait at the head of the line which he said he swelled to over 70 people by 9am
“I was just listening to Katy Perry – I was singing and dancing and it got me through,” he said.
He said the announcement of a second Adelaide show was proof of just how in-demand she was in the City of Churches.
Just days after initially leaving the city off her 2025 Australian tour, Perry revealed she would extend her stay Down Under with a concert at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday, June 26 – which has now become two dates.
“It’s a funny one, I announced the dates and Adelaide wasn’t there because of several reasons,” Perry said.
“I heard so loud and so clearly from the fans there, and the community there, they were like ‘What no way, oh my God, I can’t believe you’re not coming to Adelaide’.
“And so we had a conversation and we were like, ‘We’ve got to go to Adelaide’.
“So the people have spoken. We hear you and we deliver.”
It came after Premier Peter Malinauskas met with the singer at the AFL Grand Final in an MCG grandstand meeting room on Saturday after Perry performed at the pre-game show.
“We know South Australians appreciate high quality events and performances and we are thrilled to have played a part in convincing Katy to come to Adelaide,” Mr Malinauskas said.
Promoter and chief executive of TEG Dainty, Paul Dainty, said the upcoming tour would be “unmissable”.
The state government has not paid Perry directly to play in Adelaide, however a deal has been struck to reduce the fees associated with using the Adelaide Entertainment Centre for the concert.

How do I get tickets?
Tickets for the general public, which are expected to sell out quickly, are set to go on sale at 11am local time on Tuesday, October 1, from Ticketek.
Tickets for Perry’s second show go on sale at 12pm local time on Tuesday, October 1, from Ticketek.
While tickets for the third open at 2pm, Tuesday, October 1.
Fans can also visit the Adelaide Entertainment Centre’s Ticketek box office in Hindmarsh where tickets will be on sale at the same time as they go online.
“It’s a party and you’re all invited! Stoked to see you in June 2025,” Perry said.
How much are tickets?
Tickets to see the California Gurls singer will be on sale from $109.90 to $229.90 for reserved seating, $199.90 for Infinity/Eternity Circle general admission and $179.90 for Dance Floor general admission.
Hang on, wasn’t Adelaide snubbed?
When Perry announced her tour in late-September, Adelaide was sadly missing from the list. Yep, she was the latest international headline act to leave Adelaide off an Australian concert tour.
Perry – who performed at the 2024 AFL Grand Final between the Sydney Swans and Brisbane Lions – announced she will tour Australia in 2025.
However, Adelaide is not part of her Lifetimes Tour plans.
But then … she added her Adelaide show!
The Firework singer confirmed exclusively to The Advertiser that she is extending her 2025 tour with an Adelaide Entertainment Centre concert on Thursday, June 26.
The deal was done in a grandstand meeting room at the MCG on Saturday after Perry stunned at the pre-game show.
She’ll perform at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
“He (Mr Malinauskas) trekked half way across the oval, wading through 100,000 people to find us and eyeball Katy and myself,” Mr Dainty, the TEG Dainty president and chief executive, said.
“The energy and the enthusiasm from the Premier, really resonated with Katy.”
On Tuesday, October 1 she added a further two shows - meaning she’ll be wowing fans for three shows in Adelaide.

The singer’s first tour in six years will kick off in Sydney on June 9, before Perry visits Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth and finishing with a bang in SA on June 26, 27 and 29.
How did the opposition react to Mali’s Katy Perry win?
Opposition Leader Vincent Tarzia questioned why a special deal was needed to lure Perry to Adelaide.
“Why is it one rule for Katy Perry and another rule for everyone else, by the looks of it?” he said.
“While we understand that this will provide some economic stimulus here in Adelaide for a short period of time, what about all the other people who are missing out?”
He hit out at Mr Malinauskas, who he dubbed “Cali Mali”, over his priorities following recent job losses at the Whyalla Steelworks and due to the tomato virus outbreak.
“While we welcome these events and while we welcome Katy Perry coming to Adelaide, if only the Premier cared as much about South Australian jobs as he did about Katy Perry,” he said.
