Brain cancer survivor Grace Moores, who met Katy Perry in 2018 after the pop star sang her a private concert, has managed to secure tickets to the Roar singer’s first Adelaide concert in six years.
“She’s so excited,” her mum Marie Moores told The Advertiser.
“It will be her Teenage Dream.”
The Advertiser exclusively announced that the international pop sensation would be adding an Adelaide leg to her Lifetimes Tour on June 26, 2025.
Since then, Perry has added two more shows on June 27 and 29.
Grace, 15, will be attending the first Adelaide show with most of her family with plans to make signs and T-shirts for the occasion.
Diagnosed with brain cancer when she was only eight, Grace was unable to attend Perry’s 2018 The Witness Tour — despite having tickets.
When the Teenage Dream singer heard of Grace’s story she surprised her young fan with a private concert in their Adelaide home.
“She really touched all of our lives,” Ms Moores, from Greenwith, said.
“We were in a pretty low spot at that point and she gave us so much strength.”
Now in remission, when Grace saw on Instagram that Perry was coming back to Australia and she knew she wanted to make the effort to see her live in concert.
Ms Moores said she would’ve paid to take Grace interstate to see Perry but is grateful Adelaide dates were announced.
