Jetstar will offer more than 90,000 extra seats on direct flights between Adelaide and Bali over the coming year.
The airline will increase direct flight frequency between Adelaide and Bali (Denpasar) to two direct return services a day on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
While the shift was first announced in December last year, the airline had previously planned to run the more frequent flight schedule from late-March to October, but it will now continue on until February next year.
Jetstar executive manager Jenn Armor said it was all about making things easier and more affordable for South Australians to travel to the beloved holiday spot.
“Bali continues to be one of the most popular holiday destinations for Australians,” she said.
“Starting from today until February next year, Jetstar is operating an additional four direct flights per week between Adelaide and Bali.”
Adelaide Airport welcomed the change from Jetstar, airport managing director Brenton Cox said.
“Bali is the most popular international destination for South Australian travellers, and we know there is significant pent-up demand for more flights at affordable prices,” he said.
“We are continuing to grow our international aviation network with ambitious targets to reach 14 non-stop international destinations by 2030 and 39 international routes by 2050.”
Ms Armor said the additional flights were already on sale on the Jetstar, with fares available from just $259 one way.
Cheaper airfares will be available until sold out.
