A teenager has been bailed after allegedly stabbing a man believed to be his mother’s former partner.

A teenager who allegedly stabbed a man at his mother’s home in Campbelltown has been released from custody after spending two months behind bars for the alleged attack.
Ashra John Myra Stuart has been on remand since August 29 when he was arrested and charged with causing serious harm with intent.
Police allege Mr Stuart, 18, stabbed a 34-year-old man at his mother’s property in Campbelltown. It is understood the alleged victim had been in a relationship with Mr Stuart’s mother, and that relationship had recently ended.
In the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday afternoon, Nick Vadasz, for Mr Stuart, asked Magistrate Simon Smart to release his client on bail, which was unopposed by prosecutors.
Prosecutors however asked the court to impose a condition that Mr Stuart not have any contact with the alleged victim, who they said now lived interstate.
Mr Stuart was released on bail to his home in Campbelltown, with his mother as a guarantee.
Outside court, Mr Vadasz declined to answer any questions about Mr Stuart’s relationship with the victim, but said his client was definitely relieved to be released on bail.
Emergency services were called to Cedar Ave just after 6.30pm on August 28 to reports of a violent disturbance, where they found a man with stab injuries outside a home.
The victim, from Campbelltown, was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
SA Police had initially charged Mr Stuart with attempted murder but later downgraded the charge.
Detectives were seen scouring through the area in front of that house while the property was a crime scene the day after the alleged incident.
Blood trails were visible on the fence, and droplets along the driveway leading to several smears across the road next to a traffic cone.
On the night of the alleged incident, it is understood neighbours came out to the street when they heard a woman yelling for help. They then saw a man covered in blood standing in a neighbouring driveway.
Mr Stuart was understood to have been living in a granny flat-type building at the rear of the property.
He will return to court in December, and is yet to enter any pleas.
