A Craigmore tobacco shop has been targeted for the third time in five days as police investigate links to Operation Eclipse.

Witnesses reported seeing two men leaving the Yorktown Rd tobacco shop at 6am on Tuesday.

Police searched the area, but the two men could not be located and nothing was stolen from the premises.

Police confirmed the premises had previously been broken into over the weekend and they will continue to investigate links to Operation Eclipse.

Operation Eclipse is a special task force targeting crime syndicates vying for the “lion’s share” of the illicit tobacco market.

The taskforce was set up in response to a recent spate of arson attacks plaguing SA as part of a war being waged by interstate organised crime syndicates.

Anyone with information on the break-in or saw any suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at www.crimestopperssa.com.au or on 1800 333 000. You can remain anonymous.
