Surprise package Triple M has finished the year on top in the radio ratings survey.
The Roo, Ditts & Loz show – hosted by Mark Ricciuto, Chris Dittmar and Laura O’Callaghan – recorded a convincing win of 16.3 share points, while the station was first overall with 14.4.
The brekky victory put the station ahead of its nearest competitor by 4.5, despite the trio dipping 0.6 from last survey’s results.
What was also surprising was who the runner-up was; it was ABC Adelaide’s, which is switching things up in the new year.
Aunty’s Nikolai Beilharz and former on-air colleague Stacey Lee – who has defected to FIVEaa – recorded 11.8, up 1.7.
In third spot place was FiveAA breakfast duo David Penberthy and Will Goodings with 11.4, up 0.5 from last survey.
Mix 102.3’s The Ali Clarke Breakfast Show is still finishing fourth with 10.1, up 0.4.
The result will, no doubt, keep tongues wagging over recent rumours that the program would be axed and replaced with the Kyle & Jackie O Show.
Nova 919 and SAFM were in fifth and sixth spots, with 9.1 and 8.5.
Triple M’s result of 14.4 overall, made it easily Adelaide’s No.1 station.
Mix, which traditionally held that spot, recorded 11.9 to be runner up, followed by Nova on 10.1.
