Even a torrential downpour couldn’t dampen the spirits of one of SA’s brightest radio exports, who has said ‘I do’ to his long-term love in an intimate Adelaide Hills ceremony.
Nova breakfast star Liam Stapleton, 27, wed fiancee Sarah Crisanti at Mount Barker’s Mandalay House & Garden on Saturday, two years after the couple announced their engagement.
The pair was forced to move their ceremony indoors after heavy rains washed out the stunning Hills venue, but lavish blooms and stylish touches from bespoke wedding curators Hygge Studio made “Plan B” seem like ‘Plan A’ all along.
Classic white and green florals dressed a vintage-style green cocktail bar, with an espresso martini named for the groom and spritz for the bride.
The luscious Adelaide Hills venue has played host to a number of high-profile SA weddings, including Paolo Sebastian designer Paul Vasileff’s fairytale garden wedding to bride Anna Frangiosa.
It’s been a year of milestones for the northern suburbs-born radio duo, with Stapleton’s co-presenter Ben Harvey welcoming his first child Freddie James Harvey in August.
After making their start at Fresh FM, northern suburbs-born Harvey and Stapleton hit the national airwaves, hosting Triple J breakfast, before returning to be crowned SA’s breakfast kings from 2020-2022 as hosts of the Nova morning slot.
When they joined Adelaide’s Nova 91.9, Harvey, then-aged 26, and Stapleton, 23, were the youngest breakfast hosts on commercial radio across the five metropolitan cities.
The duo made the move to Melbourne in 2022, enlisting long-time producer Belle Jackson to replace Nova Melbourne’s outgoing trio of Chrissie Swan, Jonathan Brown and Sam Pang.
