He’s been on the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation board for three decades and spent more than two of those decades serving as the chairman, but Ray Taylor has handed over the reigns.
And after stepping away from the board late last year, the predecessor’s replacement has now been revealed as John Debenham.
With a strong background in senior executive roles, Mr Debenham has previously served as the director and chairman of Foodbank Queensland, two titles he held from 2000 to 2018.
The new chairman has a passion for giving back to his community which is demonstrated through the charity organisation he has founded including bike riding fundraisers K’s 4 Aussie Farmers and K’s 4 Country Kids.
A spokeswoman from the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation said Mr Debenham had been a supporter and admirer of the organisation for many years.
He will join the volunteer board as chairman in support of raising funds for Darling Downs Health.
