Seven people are being assessed by paramedics Emergency services are responding after a three vehicle crash on Shute Harbour Road just after 10.40am.
Police were called to the stretch of Shute Harbour Rd near Mount Julian outside Proserpine after a truck crashed into the back of a car entrapping two individuals, believed to be teenagers, in the back seats.
Bystanders told police they witnessed smoke coming from the truck’s brakes.
A QAS spokeswoman confirmed that the crash was caused by a truck crashing into one cars rear, which then crashed into the car in front of it.
As of 11:20am QAS reports that all seven affected individuals were conscious and out of their vehicles with their injuries being assessed.
It has been reported the road has been completely blocked and it is unclear if anyone is injured at this point.
Police are on scene doing traffic control on Shute Harbour Rd.
