Two cars have collided on a busy Whitsunday road early this afternoon, less than an hour after a man was rushed to hospital after a crash in the Mackay region.

A busy Whitsunday road is closed after a two vehicle crash early this afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to Shute Harbour Rd in Cannon Valley just before 12.30pm.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the road was blocked in both direction following the crash.
Paramedics are assessing four patients and a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said they were planning to transport one patient to Proserpine Hospital.
The spokesman said there were no confirmed injuries at this time.
This comes less than an hour after emergency services rushed to an incident in the Mackay region.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said a car towing a trailer went off the road near Slade Point Rd and Keelys Rd.
A man in his 30s was taken to Mackay Hospital in a stable condition.
