Three assessed after bike v car crash and two vehicle crash in Mackay CBD

Emergency services are rushing down Mackay’s CBD streets after two crashes just moments apart.
Paramedics are on the scene at the intersection of Shakespeare and Romeo Streets after a car and bike collided just before 11.30am.
Two people were seen lying on the road near the crash.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said a man in his 30s and woman in her 40s were both on the bike when the crash occurred.
They were being assessed by paramedics for head and leg injuries.
Both lanes of Shakespeare St were closed.
At almost the same time two cars crashed at the intersection of Brisbane and Alfred Streets, just a few blocks away.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said a man in his 40s was being assessed by paramedics for arm and leg injuries.
