A Mount Julian woman who allegedly lashed out at authorities after her pet was impounded will face court on multiple criminal charges.
Whitsunday Regional Council called for police back up at the Proserpine facility on June 25 after a dog owner had allegedly been abusive over the phone.
Proserpine police officer in charge Sergeant Mark Flynn said officers attended the scheduled collection, where the “erratic” woman allegedly yelled at Local Laws Officers even after police warned her to stop.
As police arrested the 43-year-old woman for committing public nuisance, she allegedly resisted, resulting in a further obstruct police charge.
She was taken to the watch house, while her dog remained in the pound.
She will appear at Proserpine Magistrates Court on July 12.
Knives out in Pioneer Park

A 53-year-old Gregory River man at the park during police patrols about 2pm on June 26 was arrested and charged with possessing a knife in a public place.
A police search uncovered two knives in a bag he was carrying.
The following day, about 1.20am, a 41-year-old Proserpine man was arrested on the same charge, in the same park, for carrying a credit card knife.
Sgt Flynn said police would continue regular patrols of Pioneer Park and other parks.
