Social media stars have quickly established themselves as some of the most influential figures of the next generations, and Warwick is certainly no exception.

The Daily News has trawled the internet and social media platforms to find some of the biggest names making waves online in our region.

Here’s our list of Warwick’s 15+ most powerful social media influencers:

Instagram reach: 1160

Just graduating from Year 12 earlier this month and looking to make her mark, Santenna Bell is one of Warwick’s young up-and-coming social media stars.

The 18-year-old already boasts more than 1000 followers and shares mostly lifestyle content from her daily activities.

Instagram reach: 1204

Hairdresser and businesswoman Jessica Carey has built an online following behind the Instagram account giving insight into her lifestyle and adventures across the region.

Whether exploring the natural wonders Warwick and the Southern Downs has to offer, giving viewers a peek behind-the-scenes at her salon Arise Studio, or sharing her latest meditative musings, Jessica focuses on a natural and grounded approach to all areas of life.

Jessica’s account also details the year she spent as a regional ambassador in her role as 2020 Warwick Showgirl.

Teen entrepreneur Chloe Lowrey heads up the Confier brand and social media accounts, using the platform to showcase her range of healthy protein ball mixes and activewear.

The 18-year-old hasn’t shied away from throwing herself into a fiercely competitive industry, telling the Daily News at the time of her activewear launch in August that she wanted Confier to become a household name.

15. Warwick Rodeo Queen

Facebook reach: 1900

Becoming Warwick rodeo royalty is one of the community’s top honours each year, and the official ambassador’s social media channels have accumulated the following to match.

The Warwick Rodeo Queen Facebook page boasts a following of about 1900 under 2021 leader Tamara Evans, with another 1220 followers on the official Instagram page and almost 700 on her personal account.

It was previously run by 2019/20 Rodeo Queen Mikyla Hogno.

Jake Wyllie is already a well-known name in the Warwick community and boxing industry thanks to his epic 5-0 record in his pro career, and the 21-year-old looks to be establishing a matching social media following to match.

With just over 2000 followers on Instagram and another 1447 followers on Facebook, the young sports star uses the accounts to document his training, pro fights, and behind-the-scenes snippets with his team.

Corina also uses the platform to openly discuss mental health and advertise support networks and services within the Warwick community.

Combining clever comedy skits with on-brand advertising has carved out the ideal niche on TikTok for Buffalo Bills Western owner Nick Martin.

Whether it’s taking part in the latest trends dominating the platform or giving his 14,000 followers a sneak peek at the latest range of merchandise before it hits the shelves, Nick has continued to expand his social media reach in recent months.

The main Buffalo Bills Western account on Instagram, which combines the Warwick and Northern Territory stores, has 23,700 followers.

4. Story Book Cakes / storybookcakes

Arguably one of Warwick’s most impressive homegrown success stories, Karyn and Mark Mills have built Story Book Cakes from a small business into one of the nation’s most popular baking brands.

The power couple started out in 2009 baking custom cakes from home and their company quickly expanded, now stocking a huge range of flavoured cake mixes that enable customers to make decadent desserts in only a few steps.

With more than 10,000 followers across their social media platforms, the Story Book Cakes team now sell to a national customer base and have their products on shelves in more than 100 stores Australia-wide.

Former Warwick boy Joshua Simpson is the up-and-coming cinematographer behind the @d_a_t_e_d Instagram account.

His videos and Instagram reels feature crisp, beautifully composed action shots of cars and nightlife, and Josh has now launched his own line of branded merchandise.

Born and raised in Warwick before jet-setting around the world for her career in media, Sakara Bell is one of the region’s biggest social media success stories.

With a resume boasting work for National Geographic, Escape Magazine, and an appearance on World’s Toughest Race hosted by renowned TV personality Bear Grylls, it’s little surprise the former country boy has amassed such a huge online following.

Tyson has also appeared on reality programs such as I’m a Celebrity, taken on modelling gigs, and was nominated as a hot favourite in the 2014 Cleo Bachelor of the Year competition.

HONOURABLE MENTION: warwickaffirmations

Instagram reach: 575

The follower count on the Warwick Affirmations account may still be low, but the Daily News team has a feeling it could be an up-and-comer that’s soon to take over our Instagram feeds.

Picking up on the widespread social media trend of tailoring daily mantras or affirmations to jokes specific to an area or community, the clever meme account knows its audience and consistently delivers.

Recent hits for the anonymously-run account include feeling “spiritually aligned with the T.J. Byrnes statue” to being “the hottest, most mysterious person at Spano’s Supa IGA”.
