Warwick Police are currently investigating a brazen robbery from a property at the Leslie Dam area and appealing to the public to be on the lookout.
Between August 4-8, a break and enter occurred at the property west of Warwick, with valuable sports memorabilia, jewellery and firearms with an estimated value in the thousands stolen.
The six firearms were stolen directly from a gun safe, and two of them were recovered in a police operation in September.
Warwick CIB Detective Glen Roche said stolen items were often sold through online marketplaces.
“People should be wary of purchasing items online in circumstances where they don't appear legitimate on online spaces,” Detective Roche said.
“People must lock up their valuables, with regards to property crime, his year has been an increase, the only you can prevent it is locking up your car and house.”
Warwick CIB are seeking any information relating to the property stolen during the break and enter.
Police believe the sports memorabilia may been advertised and sold locally on the Southern Downs via online marketplaces.
