A Warwick man has tragically died in a horror truck crash on the New England Highway that closed the major route for several hours.
Emergency services were called to the crash about 10.15am Monday, with initial reports indicating the semi-trailer was travelling south on the highway at Greenmount when it left the road and rolled.
The 40-year-old Warwick man, who was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, was trapped in the cab.
Paramedics treated the man for critical injuries and a rescue chopper was called in, but the man sadly died at the scene.
The incident closed the New England Highway for several hours and traffic diversions were in place.
Police investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
